- First Aid Regulation 1101 outlines the first aid obligation with respect to training, equipment and facilities that employers are required to provide for employees.
- For companies with 1-5 employees, the requirements include: a first aid box (St. John Ambulance Workplace A1 Kit), a current edition of a St. John Ambulance First Aid Manual, and a worker with current Emergency First Aid certificate (or its equivalent) who is in charge of the first aid box at all times that work is in operation.
- For companies with 6-15 employees, the requirements include: a first aid box (St. John Ambulance Workplace A2 Kit), a current edition of a St. John Ambulance First Aid Manual, and workers with a current Standard First Aid certificate (or its equivalent) who are in charge of the first aid box at all times that work is in operation.
- For companies with 16-199 employees, the requirements include: a first aid box (St. John Ambulance Workplace A3 Kit), a current edition of a St. John Ambulance First Aid Manual, and workers with a current standard First Aid certificate (or its equivalent) who are in charge of the first aid box at all times that work is in operation.
- For companies with 200 or more employees a complete first aid room equipped with hot and cold running water and first aid materials as specified in regulation 1101. A nurse or, a worker with current St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid certificate (or its equivalent), must be in charged of the first aid room at all times work is in operation.
