Car Seat Safety Team

St. John Ambulance, Mississauga Branch has developed a new volunteer service for the Mississauga community. We would like to invite you to become a part of this exciting initiative. Car Seat Safety Team volunteers assist families to properly install their child's car seat.

Did You Know?

• Safe Kids Canada reports that 4 out of 5 children travel unsafely in motor vehicles
• Statistics show that motor vehicle collisions are the primary cause of injury and death to children under the age of ten.
• Transport Canada estimates that over 70% of these injuries and deaths can be prevented through the proper use of child restraints and seatbelts.

Volunteer Information and Orientation Sessions
One hour Volunteer Information sessions are scheduled at the Mississauga Branch once per month. During this session you will learn what it means to be a St. John Ambulance volunteer, the training that is required and the expected commitment for a Car Seat Safety Team member (minimum of 5 hours per month). Come and join us for this informative session. There is no obligation to join.
