Child Restraint Technician Certification Training - 2011

$149 - 2 days

St. John Ambulance has come together with Transport Canada, Health Canada and other members of the Canadian Child Passenger Safety Coalition to create this exciting certification program.

Car seat safety check results from across Canada indicate that eight out of ten children are not properly secured in motor vehicles today. Police estimate that over 70% of children's deaths and injuries due to motor vehicle collisions could be prevented if children were restrained properly. The process of using and securing children's restraint systems in vehicles is much more complicated than generally believed.

The Child Restraint Technician program is designed for anyone interested in helping others to learn to secure their children safely in motor vehicles. Whether for business or community volunteer reasons, this program offers you a truly rewarding opportunity to make a difference in child safety. This 13 hour training course coupled with practical experience at a Car Seat Clinic will give you the skills and knowledge to assist others in Child Restraint installation. A nationally recognized certificate valid for three years is issued upon successful completion of the course requirements.
