FIRST AID COURSES WITH CPR

·         Standard First Aid + CPR Level A + AED (2 days or 4 evenings) - 2012
Our most popular course for the workplace requirements. Designed for companies with more than 5 employees or for those students requiring a more in-depth program for responding to a wider variety of injury or illness situations. ·         Emergency First Aid + CPR Level A + AED (1 day or 2 evenings) - 2012
A popular course for workplaces with less than 5 employees. Meets WSIB requirements and the Canada Labour Code. Related Fact Sheet is available for printing.

·         Standard First Aid & CPR Level C + AED (2 days) - 2012
A standard first aid course that includes CPR training for adults, infants and children. Ideal for families or for employees in workplaces where children are present (i.e. teachers, daycare workers). Meets WSIB requirements and Canada Labour Code. CPR Level B is included in this program. Related Fact Sheet is available for printing.

·         Standard First Aid & CPR for Health Care Providers (HCP) + AED (2 days) - 2012
Our most complete general interest or workplace course designed specifically to accommodate the needs of those requiring HCP certification. Related Fact Sheet is available for printing.

·         Emergency First Aid + Infant/Child CPR Level C + AED (1 day) - 2012
An ideal course for new parents, babysitters, grandparents and nannies. This course covers first aid and CPR with Automated External Defibrillation for infants, children and adults. Related Fact Sheet is available for printing.

·         Standard First Aid with CPR Renewal - Levels A or C (1 day) - 2012
A one day renewal for those who have taken the St. John Ambulance Standard with Heartsaver (Level A, or C CPR) course with certificates that have not yet expired. For expired certificates, consider taking the new e-learning version of Standard First Aid. E-Learning information sheet is now available.

CPR & HCP COURSES

·         CPR Level C + AED (1 day) - 2012
This course gives comprehensive CPR training for general public interest or workplace requirements.   Learn CPR techniques for adults, infants and children, 2-rescuer CPR and artificial respiration.

·         CPR Level C + AED - Renewal (4 hours) - 2012
Renewal course designed to review knowledge and skills of CPR learned in the above course.

·         Health Care Provider (HCP) + AED (1 day) - 2012
Designed for the current and future Health Care and Emergency Care Professional or Emergency Service Provider.

·         Health Care Provider (HCP Renewal) + AED (4 Hours) - 2012
Renewal course designed to review knowledge and skills of HCP learned in above course.

A course created for the 9 and 10 year old age group who may occasionally be left alone for short periods of time - designed to teach skills necessary for staying safe.

·         * What Every Babysitter Should Know Course - (1 day) - 2012
A course created for the 11-14 year old age group designed to teach skills necessary for babysitting.

·         * Teen First Responder - (1 day) - 2012
By Special Request Only - This course is available for groups of 10 to 18. Teen First Responder has been specially designed for teenagers who would like to learn life-saving skills for personal or workplace related reasons. This is an excellent course for those who participate in or referee sports, want to be a camp counsellor or life-guard or want to be prepared for future job placements. The course will cover CPR for adults, infants and children, an introduction to automated external defibrillation, choking, emergency scene management, bleeding, shock, unconsciousness, fainting and other first aid situations that are likely to be encountered by teens. Fun and informative, this course will provide excellent preparation for a teen encountering an emergency situation.

·         Child Restraint Technician Certification Training (2 days) - 2012
This course is designed for anyone interested in helping others to learn to secure their children safely in motor vehicles. Whether for business or community volunteer reasons, this program offers you a truly rewarding opportunity to make a difference in child safety.

·         Child Restraint Technician Certification Training - Renewal (1 days) - 2012
This course is designed for those whose Child Restraint Technician Certification needs to be renewed.

·         Car Seat Installation Workshop for new parents - (2 hours) - 2012
Learn the tips and tricks necessary to help you safely install your child's car seat yourself. Technicians will ensure that your car seat is in properly before you leave.

·         Medical First Responder or Advanced Medical First Responder Level I - (3 - 6 days) 2012
These courses are designed for the person who is interested in taking a more active role in emergency situations.

·         Instructor Development Program Course - Must Apply - 2012
If you have a background in teaching, a health or safety related field, and have successfully completed a St. John Ambulance Standard First Aid and Level C CPR course, you may apply to be an Instructor. ·         Marine First Aid - 2012
Organized by Request - This program meets the Transport Canada, Marine Safety requirements for examination and certification of seafarers.
